Shana J. Kluck, Director of Outreach and Marketing

Shana Kluck is a native of south Texas and a homeschooling mother of four.  She serves as the assistant editor for United Liberty and has used social networking to successfully promote best-selling books, political campaigns and various other activities.

Shana is a member of the Alabama Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, serves as President of the Alabama Republican Assembly and Secretary of the Alabama Republican Liberty Caucus.  She is also a member of the Executive Committees in both Tuscaloosa County and the Alabama State Republican Party.

Shana served as the national Homeschooling Coordinator and Alabama Field Coordinator for Ron Paul’s presidential campaign and was in charge of social media during Bob Barr’s presidential race.

Shana’s reputation as a woman who has a unique ability to motivate others, particularly grassroots activists, combined with her exceptional work ethic, can be a massive boon to almost any organization or campaign.

Stephen P. Gordon, Director of Media Relations

Stephen Gordon has worked as a political consultant and Internet activist since the Republican Revolution. His first political job was co-manage Arlington County, Virginia for the Oliver North for Senate campaign. Since then, he’s worked for, managed or consulted with a variety of candidate and issue campaigns at a local, state and national level. More recently, he has served as the Communications Director for the national Libertarian Party, Alabama Media Director during Ron Paul’s presidential race and as e-Campaign Manager for former Congressman Bob Barr’s presidential bid.

Stephen was called “the leader in Internet activism” by Birmingham radio talk show host Russ Fine for his efforts in defeating a 2003 statewide tax increase proposal. He’s also received frequent nation media attention for political blogs he has published, edited, or served as a key contributor. “It’s kind of like the independent music store, the underground, the cool record store, of politics,” stated Nirvana co-founder Krist Novoselic about one of Stephen’s websites.

Stephen is a member of the American Association of Political Consultants. He contributes to a variety of websites, including The Next Right, The Liberty Papers and Examiner.com.

Austin J. Wilkes, Director of Business Development

Austin Wilkes is senior at the University of Alabama studying business management and political science. After working as technology specialist for a Medicare planning firm, Austin entered politics and in 2007 was nationally recognized for his success in organizing thousands of Alabama Republicans for grassroots political activity.

Austin specializes in developing strategy and is experienced in establishing and improving the framework of various types of organizations and campaigns. Austin is also active in a number of libertarian and conservative political organizations, both in Alabama and nationwide.

In addition to strategic planning Austin also has considerable skills in areas of project management and business law.

Brad A. McLaughlin, Technical Specialist

Brad has been designing and developing websites for over 4 years. He went to college at Lee University, graduating in 2006 with a Computer Information Systems B.S. Degree and an Art Minor. He has many years of experience with Linux servers, Apache, MySQL, PHP, XHTML, CSS, as well as ColdFusion.

He is an avid code writer and design specialist. Preferring to code all by hand, he simply wants to be the most involved in a project as possible and that gives him the ability to do so. He is currently finishing his Art Degree at the University of Alabama.

Brad has been known to be a perfectionist when it comes to coding and techniques. To him, coding in itself is an art form and shouldn’t be looked at any less.

Jason Pye, Internet Content Specialist

Jason Pye is a new media specialist and blogger based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Jason served as the primary blogger on Bob Barr’s presidential campaign in 2008 and is a veteran of local and state campaigns, often working with both Libertarians and Republicans.

He was a member of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Georgia Board of Directors from 2007 to 2008 and currently works with the Libertarian Party of Georgia.

In addition to his own blog, Jason serves as Editor of United Liberty and operates Georgia Legislative Watch.

Brett Bittner, Social Media Specialist

Brett Bittner is a Atlanta-based new media specialist, focusing on creative and innovative ways to make a message go viral. His social media campaign designs create a unique approach for each message reaching the maximum number of eyes and ears. His work goes beyond politics, encompassing non-profits, businesses, high-profile individuals, and even his passion for canines.

His personal “passion” project, Ask Spike Online, has garnered national media attention, including an interview with Forbes magazine’s online edition. Included as a part of the campaign to promote Ask Spike Online is one of his earliest successes in social media, the wildly popular Twitter scavenger hunt, BarkHunt.

In addition to his duties with Spike, Brett serves as a writer with United Liberty and as a founding member of The 1776 Project.
